our team!PBL has an immediate opening for a fulltime onsite Media
Preparation Technician in the Microbiology Services Department. The
Media Preparation Technician will report to the Director of
Microbiology. As a member of the PBL Microbiology Services team,
the Media Prep Technician will fill an entry level role that will
make contributions to the growth of the department primarily
through media preparation, glassware cleaning, lab cleaning and
support of the company's continuous improvement initiatives and
client needs.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED
TO:Manufacture media to satisfy the requests of Team Leads and
Management scheduleEnsure labs are clean and safe (in compliance
with cGMP) and properly stockedPrepare media, glassware and dry
goods in strict accordance with SOPs, cGMP, cGLP, ISO/IEC 17025,
and other applicable regulatory requirements that support client
release of intermediates and/or finished productsPerform water,
steam and critical utility collection and perform internal and /or
external Environmental Monitoring (EM)Prepare dry goods, liquid
media and biowaste autoclave sterilization cycles and other
laboratory housekeeping tasksMake in-house reagents, stock
solutions, media and microbial suspensionsPerform other laboratory
tests such as but not limited to: residue checks, conductivity and
pHClean/maintain lab equipment such as glassware, freezers, hoods,
incubators, water baths etc. Maintain accurate and complete test
recordsPerform simple supportive assays (for example; Biological
indicator and other testing set-up activities) Always be audit
readyMaintain positive/professional relationships with clients and
co-workersAdditional responsibilities related to job
functionRequirements:QUALIFICATIONS:Education/ExperienceBS/BA in
Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology or equivalent -
Microbiology degree preferred with 0+ years' relevant experience in
microbiology or;Associate degree in related scientific discipline
and 0+ year of experience in Microbiology or related scientific
field laboratory or;High school diploma and 0+ years of experience
in Microbiology or related scientific field laboratory0+ years
GMP/GLP laboratory/FDA experience requiredRelated training
certifications and self-learning are a plusLocal candidates (San
Francisco Bay Area) preferredTechnical SkillsExcellent
documentation and writing skillsEffectively operate in an evolving,
complex and dynamic environment that changes by the hourSimple math
skills Clean room experience is a plus but not
requiredInterpersonal SkillsOrganizational skillsExcellent written,

work off shift hours and weekends when neededThe pay range for this
position is $41,000 to $51,000 paid on hourly basis excluding
overtime. The base pay offered will take into account internal
equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This
position will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, life
