About the role:
This position will be leading infrastructure making critical decisions and massive impact. Your work will directly touch millions of people.
Candidate Requirements:

• 4 years working at a venture-backed, consumer-facing startup
  
• 6+ years of experience building and scaling robust backend infrastructure.
  
• Deeply knowledgeable of Google App Engine (GAE), WebSockets, Kubernetes, and backend systems.
  
• Proven experience in developing and operating large-scale backend systems.
  
• Python experience in a production environment.
  
• Strong familiarity with MongoDB and Redis.
  
• Experience with designing and maintaining large-scale messaging and/or event-driven architectures.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  
• High level of agency and self-motivation, and a proven track record of developing complex systems quickly and independently.
  
• Experience in or enthusiasm for the dynamic pace and impact of startup environments, with a strong commitment to achieving technical excellence and innovation.
  
• Excited to work in-office with the team in San Francisco.
  
  Nice-to-haves:
  
  
• Understanding of Generative AI principles, inference techniques, and prompt management.
  
• Launched consumer apps on their own in the past.
  
• Experience with .
  
• Experience managing infrastructure (deployment and orchestration) at consumer companies serving millions of users.
  
  Salary Range: $120k - $200k base with equity and benefits.
