Job Summary
The Program Manager for the Office of Wellness Education is a 100%
position that provides leadership regarding workplans, resource
requirements, timeline, and budgets for a complex array of
deliverables. This position is expected to use evidence-based
project management and facilitation expertise to support strategic
planning, project
scoping/development, identification of project interdependencies,
and meeting planning.
The position is fully funded by external sources (gift and grant)
with support identified thru FY 26. Future funding is being

position. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of
3-4 years of related area and/or equivalent experience or training
Supervisory and/or leadership experience.Experience applying
project management tools and processes to effectively track
budgets, timelines, resources, and dependencies.Experience and
proficiency in coordinating committees to facilitate feedback and
decision making.Experience working on teams with advanced
interpersonal skills.Successful experience working with people with
a wide range of background and skills.Excellent independent
decision-making skills to work with ambiguities where clear
guidelines are not present.Demonstrated skills to identify issues,
provide recommendations, and seek resources to develop
solutions.Works well autonomously and can adapt to new
environments.Possesses analytical and technical skills and able to
draw independent conclusions and develop goals and plans for
execution.Exceptional organizational skills, effectively
prioritizes tasks, anticipates job requirements, and works under
frequent interruptions to achieve timely progress and meet
deadlines,Mastery of Microsoft Office applications.Ability to
uphold all university policy and procedures and follow sound
business practices.Skills to interact tactfully and diplomatically
with a diverse group of people including faculty, staff, and
students. Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Project Management
and/or PMP Master's degree Expert knowledge and understanding of
the organizational structure of the UC Davis Health, its executive
leadership, mission and strategic goals and culture. Working
knowledge of the operational and long-range goals and policies of
UC Davis Health and the School of Medicine.

focused on comprehensive wellness education across a
broad and inclusive range of topics that affect well-being. OWE is

help prevent illness and help people lead longer, healthier lives.
The Program Manager will advise the Executive Director regarding
project risks and mitigation strategies.
This position handles sensitive discussions with little or no
precedence, requiring expedient and diplomatic action, and utilizes
change management and project management knowledge to provide
guidance and recommendations regarding the OWE's strategic
direction or urgent priorities.
This position will report to the Executive Director for OWE.
