- Free Pressed products!Job Purpose:The Area Manager oversees the
sales performance, guest experience, operations, hiring, and talent
development. They will provide leadership and strategic direction
to create an environment that exceeds guests' in-store and digital
expectations, with maximum productivity, profitability, and sales
results.Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for exceeding the same stores' sales and
plans.
- Drive company sales growth and profitability through selling,
teamwork, superior product knowledge, and impeccable guest
experience.
- Model and implement active & engaged product selling and
sampling in-store and at the sample carts throughout the day.
- Create a guest-obsessed culture that prioritizes the guest
experience and delivers on sales goals.
- Lead by example through the service, sales, and company
cultural values at all times.
- Utilize the mystery shop and NPS programs to deliver a
memorable guest experience in each location.
- Engaging guests; problem solving and resolution.
- Lead teams of hourly team members, interviewing, developing,
coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent.
- Anticipate long- and short-term staffing needs, talent plan,
and recruit.
- Follow up on training completion, check for understanding, and
provide continuous education opportunities.
- Establish a culture of accountability through clear
expectations and performance management (observe, recognize, and
coach) on critical behaviors.
- Embody our culture and values through a high degree of
self-accountability, acting as a model for all team members.
- Understand business reporting and guest insights to understand,
troubleshoot, and follow up on opportunity areas.
- Oversight of store's P&L, KPIs, and inventory
management.
- Responsibility for managing labor costs (e.g., scheduling
hours, overtime, etc.) for their store.
- Uses financial tools & resources to identify and proactively
address opportunities in in-store performance.
- Ensure the compliance of company policies and procedures at
their store (safety, assets, cash, etc.) at all times.
- Maintaining the store's cleanliness, operational excellence,
food safety, and handling.
- Work a schedule that aligns with guest and business needs and
maintains a presence in all dayparts (including weekends, early
mornings, and evenings).
- Other job-related activities as requested.
- Ensure their store adheres to federal and local safety
standards, including, but not limited to, food safety, OSHA, CDC,
ADA, wage, and hours laws.Qualifications:
- Passion, knowledge, and interest in health, fitness, and/or
wellness.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Store Manager within a
retail store or restaurant, managing a team of at least 15 team
members.
- Ability to build guest relationships and deliver exceptional
service.
- Ability to quickly adapt and embrace new procedures, processes,
and shifts to priorities.
- Proven success in achieving goals through guest-centric
selling.
- Excellent team player with the ability to lead & work
independently.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills with proficiency
in English.
- Keen proficiency in sales principles, KPI deliverables, and
guest service practices.
- A California Food Handler Card or applicable state-specific
requirement at the time of hire is preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing a profit and loss statement or
comparable financial reporting.
- Proven ability to drive results, analyze financial reports,
identify business trends, and react quickly to the needs of the
business.
- Possess basic knowledge of MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, and
Excel.
- Previous success identifying, developing, and retaining
talented team members.
- High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or
equivalent certification in business/retail/restaurant/hospitality
management preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidential company information in the
strictest of confidence.
