DEPARTMENT: CORPORATE STRATEGY
JOB CODE: 11685 PAY RANGE: $152,300.00 - $170,000.00 ANNUALLY
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Director, Enterprise Data Program
Management will lead and oversee the fulfillment of objectives
related to the Enterprise Data Management Program (Program). This
includes intake and scoping for data initiatives, business case
development, program governance, program metrics and reporting, and
communications. The Director, Enterprise Data Program Management
will facilitate program outputs, including data product projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and project
management skills and be comfortable working with a mix of
technical and non-technical stakeholders. They will have experience
in either program or product management and may have experience
building and/or leading data strategy or data governance programs
focusing on such principles as data risk management, data quality,
or data product management. TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise data
management and analytics roadmap that aligns with the Credit
Union's strategic priorities
- Facilitate a robust intake and scoping function to capture and
articulate business priorities and related initiatives that require
Data and Analytics support
- Develop, implement, and manage an effective prioritization
process for data and analytics program, projects, and activities
(PPAs)
- Ensure seamless integration of data programs, projects, and
activities into existing processes, practices, and technology
infrastructure
- Coordination with all Enterprise Data Management stakeholders
to develop and implement repeatable processes for continued program
success and evolution
- Perform Project Management related to Data & Analytics
initiatives as appropriate, ensuring stakeholder engagement and
alignment, status updates, and issue escalation
- Facilitate updates, support, and ensure alignment with the
Enterprise Data Governance Council
- Design program success measures and metrics aligned to
organizational goals, and communicate progress and related
reporting to Enterprise Data Management Stakeholders
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with various business
groups and corporate functions to continually evolve the Enterprise
Data Strategy in alignment with the strategic priorities of the
Credit Union
- Directly support execution of the Enterprise Data Management
Program through cross functional partnerships, including Data
Governance and Information Technology partners
- Other general ongoing program management and communications
responsibilities as they relate to the Data Strategy
- Enhance the above with a focus on continuous improvement
- Execution of the above with an emphasis on accuracy and
timeliness of meeting deliverables on prescribed timetables /
calendars
- Handle other duties as may be assigned. PHYSICAL SKILLS,
ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:
- Effective oral and written communication skills required to
manage and evaluate staff, create presentations, prepare reports,
write recommendations, execute analysis, and accomplish other
managerial functions listed.
- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to operate an on-line
computer terminal and other standard office equipment.
- Reliable leader with ability to maintain the highest level of
integrity and trust. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:
- INTERNAL: All levels of staff and management.
- EXTERNAL: Members, vendors, suppliers, volunteers, external
auditors, professional and community organizations, and law
enforcement agencies. QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Management
Information Systems, Information Security, Information Technology,
Computer Sciences field, or equivalent job experience.
- EXPERIENCE: 7+ years of experience with data management and
oversight experience and 5+ years coordinating projects, programs,
and/or products across multiple teams/constituents. Additionally,
5+ years of direct people management experience.
- KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements
and emerging trends and issues.
- Knowledge of data governance procedures, business and
technological concerns relating to corporate information asset
management, and data protection techniques
- Experience leading or managing programs related to data
platforms, data products, data governance, and/or data
strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an
ability to summarize complex concepts
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization
skills with an ability to coordinate and delegate across functional
groups
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project management
methodologies
- General understanding of data systems, data structures, and
data analysis including artificial intelligence a plus
- Interpersonal and relationship-building skills - with an
ability to influence
- Must be comfortable speaking to senior management and
presenting ideas
- Ability to run meetings across diverse functions, locations,
and businesses
- Bachelor's degree required, technical or advanced degree a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional
mobility required.
- Availability for emergency and on call duty 24 hours a day, 7
days a week, as needed.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Corrected vision within the normal range.
- Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will
be provided if needed.
- Occasional movements throughout the department daily to
interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
- Unusually long work hours may be required to accomplish tasks.
