offer.Job DescriptionSummary:The Used Car Sales Manager will be
responsible for overseeing and driving the sales operations at our
dealership to meet its unit sales quotas and gross objectives on a
daily, monthly, and yearly basis. This includes managing a team of
sales professionals, implementing effective sales strategies, and
ensuring an exceptional customer experience.Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Make a monthly projection of the vehicle requirements by
department for the immediate 90-day sales period.
- Determine monthly and yearly forecasts in terms of unit sales,
gross profit objectives, and departmental profits.
- Forecast monthly sales with each salesperson to establish
objectives in terms of the number and type of customers coming into
the dealership, closing percentages in each category, time
utilization, prospecting efforts, unit sales, and projected
income.
- Prepare a Plan of the Week and submit to the Dealer.
- Meet with each salesperson daily to review yesterday's results
and today's plan of action.
- Conduct sales meetings.
- Facilitate pre-delivery with the Service Manager.
- Provide on-the-job training for salespeople.
- Ensure that salespeople are following an established
prospecting program to obtain optimum results.
- Review monthly commission sheets, productivity reports,
salespersons' monthly forecasts, and profit performance with the
Dealer.
- Maintain a balanced vehicle inventory and establish a program
for moving new cars in inventory over 90 days.
- Maintain a balanced vehicle inventory and establish a program
for moving used cars in inventory over 45 days.
- Implement and monitor Factory Standards and programs to achieve
100% Customer Satisfaction.
- Conduct and document ongoing refresher safety training within
the sales department.
- Conduct periodic self-inspection for hazard assessment within
the sales department and recommend and document action needed and
action taken.
- Ensure that sales department employees follow safety policies
and practices and report any accidents immediately.
- 3+ years of previous Sales Manager experience in an automotive
dealership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for automobiles and a genuine interest in helping
customers.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass
pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug
test, and valid driver license.Compensation (Draw plus
commission):
- On-Target-Earnings (OTE): $80,000 - $150,000+ a year (if
meeting and exceeding store goals and quotas)*The Used Car Sales
Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following
elements and ranges. Wages include Base Salary Compensation of
between five thousand six hundred dollars a month. The position may
also pay commission compensation based on the value or amount of
closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any
upper limit other than sales performance. The position may also pay
a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may
range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any
fixed upper limit.
