• Shift: 3x12 nights, 36hrs/week
• Work location: Onsite; Palo Alto, CA
• Compensation: $80 to $89 per hour Duties and Responsibilities
  • Constantly assessing and monitoring patients' vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, etc.) and responding to any critical changes.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely administration of medications, including IV drips, injections, and other treatments, while managing complex medication regimens.
  • Managing and troubleshooting ventilators, dialysis machines, and other life-support systems to stabilize critically ill patients.
  • Conducting thorough patient assessments, documenting patient status, care plans, and any changes in condition, while maintaining accurate records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Working closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient care plans, communicate critical updates, and coordinate treatments.
  • Responding to life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrests, respiratory failure, or sudden deterioration, providing CPR, intubation, or other critical interventions.
  • Communicating with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-ICU care, offering emotional support during a highly stressful time.
  • Assisting with or performing procedures like wound care, inserting central lines, arterial lines, or managing catheters and drains. Job Requirements
    
    Education Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited academic institution. (preferred) Experience
      • Three (3) years or more of fit test / ICU nursing experience
      • Experience in Adult ED Licenses
        • California Registered Nurse (RN) license
        • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for providers issued by the American Heart Association
        • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association Benefits
