Our client in Sacramento is seeking a highly qualified individual to work on a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will support both the water quality and environmental engineering groups, with a greater emphasis placed on engineering work. Position Duties and Responsibilities
• Engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure planning and design projects
• Environmental modeling
• Designing and implementing engineering or scientific field studies
• Environmental permitting
• Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
• Data entry and analysis
• Preparing cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
• Participation in field activities such as taking water and sediment samples
 
Required Skills
• Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
• Highly motivated and articulate
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Work well in a team environment and independently in a smaller office environment
 
Minimum Qualifications
• Registration as a Professional Engineer OR Master’s degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
 
Preferred Experience
• 1 to 5 years of directly-relevant experience in environmental consulting, water or wastewater engineering
• Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD
