Job Description:

New Dawn Treatment Centers is a dual diagnosis treatment organization committed to providing exceptional care through evidence-based practices. We are currently seeking passionate and experienced Addiction Counselors to join our dynamic Men's Residential Program in Orangevale, CA. Both full-time and part-time day and evening shifts are available.Key Responsibilities:Conduct Biopsychosocial (BPS) assessments during client intake.Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Helping Men Recover curriculum.Lead family, education, and process groups to support the recovery journey.Provide case management and develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans tailored to client needs.Coordinate care with internal teams and external providers, including referrals to Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) and other step-down services.Deliver addiction counseling with a focus on long-term recovery, particularly for veterans and other specialized populations.Preferred Experience & Qualifications:3+ years of addiction counseling experience in a clinical setting, ideally with experience working with veterans, active-duty personnel, or in residential treatment programs.Proficiency in person-centered treatment planning and familiarity with Stages of Change interventions.CADC (Level 1) certification or higher, or an equivalent credential.Experience with ACT, MI, and Mindfulness-based approaches is a plus.Ability to build trust and rapport with clients while maintaining professional boundaries.Work Environment:In-person role within a team-oriented and collaborative environment.Strong emphasis on outcomes and client-centered care.Supportive clinical team, consisting of two counselors and three therapists, fostering a cooperative atmosphere.Schedule & Compensation:Full-time and part-time availabilityMonday to Friday with 8-hour shifts (day and evening shifts available)Hourly pay: $28.00 - $32.00, based on experience and qualifications---Why Join Us?At New Dawn Treatment Centers, we are committed to fostering an environment where staff feel supported and empowered to make a meaningful impact.
