Job Purpose:The Sr Materials Planner for P1324 is a critical link and works closely with warehouse, Program Management, quality, engineering, and production to adequately support all planning activities in a timely manner. In charge of the optimization of supply chain operations and inventory management, having to ensure the appropriate supply of cost-efficient and high-quality materials to meet production targets. This role requires an analytical mind and excellent negotiation skills to streamline processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Reviews backlog to determine materials shortages and capacity requirements to provide commitments feedback to customer.
• Coordinates the efficient expediting of materials including external and internal warehouses, as well as within production areas.
• Proactively identifies areas of potential supply concerns, keeping in mind capacity and space constraints, shortages, and communicates analysis/recommendations to all parties impacted.
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions related to material planning and production scheduling.
• Coordinates the shipment and logistics of customer orders to meet customer demands.
• Collaborates with production teams to assess product specifications and requirements.
• Implements continuous improvement initiatives to reduce wastage and inefficiencies in the material flow.
• Prepares regular reporting for both internal and external distribution, including but not limited to production plans, shortages & order status.
• Ensures compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.Education and Experience:
• BS/AA degree, Advanced planning systems knowledge is a plus.
• 5 years + experience as a Material planner or equivalent.
• Ideal candidate must have strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent Oracle 11i, MS-Excel, MS-Office, and MRP knowledge is required.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to solve problems under pressure.
