Job Description:
We are seeking a Piping/Plumbing Designer with experience on
Life Sciences Projects to join our team at Eichleay with 6+ years'
experience. This position must be located within 50 miles of one of
our offices to perform the duties required of this position. You
will have the flexibility to work from our office or remote from
home. This is a full-time position with benefits including a 401K
match, Employer HSA contribution and a flexible work schedule with
every other Friday off.

Compensation: $100,000 - $135,000 *anticipated annual salary may
vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer
equity. The pay range listed for this position is based on the
anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting.Move

projects and markets. You will attend meetings and participate in
client field visits as needed in the Office region. You may be
asked to travel on occasion outside of the area for other projects
you support.As a Piping/Plumbing Designer at Eichleay you will
review brownfield site conditions, assist in laser scanning, review
piping specifications, develop 3D Revit models, prepare piping
isometrics, plan elevation drawings and bills of materials. You
will participate in project meetings, model reviews and interface
with other disciplines that are working in the model. Projects will
range from simple 2D deliverables to fully developed building
information models (BIM). This role involves contributing to
various stages of project development, from conceptual design
through to construction documentation. An ideal candidate will also
have extensive experience creating and editing Fabrication
Mechanical and Piping Databases as well as the upkeep of these
databases.Additional Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Participation in Project Meetings and 3D Model reviews with
other disciplines.
- Ability and willingness to assist in on-site Laser
Scanning.
- Prepares drawings and layouts, specifications, technical
calculations, charts and graphs, cost estimates, and bills of
materials.
- Responsible for developing designs for complete and complex
engineering systems, structures, and plant arrangements.
- Demonstrates awareness and commitment to health, safety, and
environmental issues. Addresses those issues as necessary to ensure
zero harm to all employees, clients, contractors with zero
environmental incidents.
- Consistently achieves goals, delivers quality and accurate
work, and meets timelines.
- Effectively interact with other employees, clients, and
vendors.
- Ability to deal with change and demonstrate flexibility as
required.

continuous improvement.Job Requirements:
- Associate degree, or related experience in an engineering or
scientific discipline and five or more years of building
experience.
- Experience with Piping/Plumbing design for Life Sciences
projects (biopharmaceuticals, food & beverage, consumer products
and/or laboratories).
- Strong 3D modelling design experience in Revit and
understanding of 3D modelling best practices/procedures.
- Familiarity with other CAD tools and software (e.g.,
Navisworks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Good understanding regarding best practices to coordinate other
disciplines working in the model environment to ensure clash free
design.
- Good understanding of design and operation of Biopharmaceutical
facilities in manufacturing, pilot plant, and laboratories.
- Knowledge of API, ASME and ANSI standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with project team members and
other staff.
- Ability to be badged for process safety management governed
facilities, which will require an in-depth drug screening.All

and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, temperature or
controls.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision,
distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust
focus.
- Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates. This may
include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
- Job duties will generally be performed in a home office or
office environment, but may require travel to visit a Client's
office, production facility or industrial/construction job
site.
- May be assigned to work at a Client's office, facility or site
for an extended period of time. Conditions and/or schedule will
vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will
generally apply. When performing work outside Eichleay and/or
Client as required.
